Sakari Syväoja’s doctoral thesis was submitted last week at North Karelia Central Hospital in Joensuu and now also YLE has noted this important subject on their homepage. You can find the article (in Finnish) behind this link.
The importance of recognising a patient’s lifelessness with respect to the survival rates and the recognition of ventricular fibrillation from an area the size of a mobile phone were parts of Sakari’s doctoral theses: “Recognition of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest”.
